Voter Guide Candidate Spotlight:
Jeff Hewitt
SUPERVISOR HEWITT
Some elected officials spend a great deal of their time dodging responsibility. They are clever about it, of course. They have all sorts of quick steps. One trick that really pokes me in the gizzard is the use of overpaid consultants to make “hard” decisions. There are not really all that many hard decisions in government. What makes decisions “difficult” is that politicians don’t want to be held responsible for anything. To avoid having to answer to the people, they bring in someone from far away, pay them millions of our tax dollars, and in return get told to do what was obvious in the first place. With determination, I will continue to reform our county. Each worker should be actively incentivized to provide quality customer service to the public. When re-elected, I will again serve the public first and foremost and we will do it with speed, diligence, and courtesy.
IEGO is more than just CCW seminars – While it’s a very valuable benefit that we offer, IEGO was built for so much more! Whenever you’re talking about IEGO, you are representing an organization whose sole purpose is to find, vet and endorse city and county level politicians who will publicly support and uphold the Second Amendment.
In doing so, IEGO has recognized the need to offer benefits to the public. Such as our monthly meeting, monthly online CCW seminars and the NOTMEIE program at no cost. We also organize a monthly shooting social for a nominal fee. But let’s not lose focus on who we are and why we do what we do. That’s to retain and regain our Second Amendment rights in California.
Inland Empire Gun Owners Proudly Endorses These Great Candidates!
Election season is right around the corner! It’s time to start preparing to support these proponents of the Second Amendment with your time and your money.
We have worked hard to vet these candidates so you can be confident that they support and fight for your Second Amendment rights. Find out more about our vetting process HERE.

BLOG: Do Those Around You Know What To Do During A Critical Defense Incident?
By: Joe Drammissi
As armed self-defenders we have an obligation to train regularly and to develop our skills to the best of our ability. Many of us do so, others not so much. But what about those around us, family and friends. Do those you care about know how to react if they are with you when a critical incident develops?
I got interested in this subject after reading an article by Greg Ellifritz on his Active Response Training site. The article asks whether your instincts as an armed self-defender are putting your child at risk. The piece relates a story of a father and his infant child who are the victims of an armed robbery. After complying fully, the father places himself between the robber and the child. As the criminal is leaving, he decides to fire at the father. The father is an armed citizen and returns fire killing the criminal. The question is, did the father’s instinct to shield his child actually endanger the child by putting him or her in the line of fire? Would it have been better for the father to create space between himself and his child?

Become a #NotMeIE Ambassador
The #NotMeIE program is a mentor/mentee referral service run by women for women to help them:
Obtain firearms training
Get assistance in choosing and purchasing a firearm
Obtain a CCW
How does the program work?
A potential client can fill out the application for service on our website. Once received, the project manager reviews the application and assigns the client to an Ambassador. An Ambassador then contacts the client to begin the process of walking them through whatever their firearm needs are. After the client has been successfully helped, their case is closed, and the Ambassador is given a new client to work with. Some of our Ambassadors are also NRA certified trainers. They are very knowledgeable in all aspects of firearms training and purchasing. IEGO also offers an online CCW seminar once a month. Check the IEGO website for upcoming dates. If you are an experienced gun owner and are interested in becoming an Ambassador for the #NotMeIE program please reach out to Karla at [email protected]
