However politicians, and local officials alike have been using the current Covid 19 emergency to push their anti-gun agenda by attempting to close down gun shops and declaring them as “non-essential businesses”. Thankfully our President, via a memo issued by the Department of Homeland Security, have deemed them otherwise.
Many 2A activist groups like the NRA, FPC, SAF, and GFC have filed federal lawsuits against state and local officials for attempting to enforce practices that violate our Second Amendment. LA county, NJ, Delaware and Maryland have reneged on attempted FFL closures, likely as a result of these lawsuits as well as the new federal order.
