MAJOR Civil Rights Victory in NYSRPA v. Bruen
This morning, the Supreme Court issued a ruling striking down New York State’s CCW law! Since our inception, SDCGO, IEGO and OCGO has made the case that carrying a firearm outside of your home for self-defense is your right. We have worked hard to make concealed carry more accessible in our counties. Our success in San Diego was used as an example to the Supreme Court and helped them make the right decision.
The Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen is another clear message that the right to keep and bear arms is the right of the people. It is not a second-class right. It is not only for certain people. We look forward to all the positive impact this will have on public policy and the positive impact this will have on an individual’s ability to defend his or her life.
Stay tuned for more updates about what this means for CCWs.

BLOG: Expecting Different Results from More of the Same
By: Joe Drammissi
When faced with a complex problem, people tend to repeatedly apply various versions of the same solutions that have failed in the past believing that a different result will be achieved this time around. There’s an old colloquialism having to do with insanity that describes this approach.
We see this phenomenon again as the country recovers from the grotesquely sensationalized and politicized murder of 22 innocents in Uvalde Texas. Predictably, the Democrats and the far-left extremists in control of that party are laser focused on more gun-control. More of something that doesn’t work, has never worked, and will not even contribute to preventing the next mass murder event. More of the same and expecting different results.
But this is not about increasing public safety or reducing violent crime or preventing future mass murder events. It’s not even about gun control. It’s about disarming law-abiding Americans so that they can be more easily controlled and eventually ruled. All Americans will likely lose more of their rights, freedom, and liberty in the coming weeks as a result of the successful politization of this recent tragic event.
So how should rational Americans who love and cherish their country and truly care for the safety and happiness of their fellow Americans react to this? How should we react to befuddled, confused, or just plain dishonest Democrat politicians spewing nonsense about guns? How should we react to idiot Hollywood actors who’ve recently moved back to Texas and now consider themselves gun policy experts pleading that we “just do something”?
Americans who care about the future of the country can do the following:

The #NotMeIE program is a mentor/mentee referral service run by women for women to help them:
Obtain firearms training
Get assistance in choosing and purchasing a firearm
Obtain a CCW
How does the program work?
A potential client can fill out the application for service on our website. Once received, the project manager reviews the application and assigns the client to an Ambassador. An Ambassador then contacts the client to begin the process of walking them through whatever their firearm needs are. After the client has been successfully helped, their case is closed, and the Ambassador is given a new client to work with. Some of our Ambassadors are also NRA certified trainers. They are very knowledgeable in all aspects of firearms training and purchasing. IEGO also offers an online CCW seminar once a month. Check the IEGO website for upcoming dates. If you are an experienced gun owner and are interested in becoming an Ambassador for the #NotMeIE program please reach out to Karla at [email protected]
