RCGO Weekly Email 4/1/21: RCGO Proudly Launching #NotMeRC TONIGHT!

Together We Will Win!
But We Can’t Do It Without You!
#NotMeRC Officially Launches TONIGHT!
There is still time to register to attend tonight’s launch meeting! Make sure to click on the link below to register and instructions to log in will be emailed separately.
We are so excited to announce that we are officially launching the new Women’s program #NotMeRC. Mirrored after our sister PAC SDCGO’s #notme program, this is our initiative to stop sexual assault and end domestic violence. AND we are proud to be launching the program in recognition of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month!!
RCGO’s area of expertise is to provide education, firearms training, and personal assistance in obtaining a California CCW (Permit to carry a firearm) if desired. While our #notmeRC program is open to everyone, our focus is currently on women because women are more commonly the victims, and we are committed to providing resources for education and training to all who are affected by abuse and concerned with her own personal safety.
RCGO believes the epidemic of sexual assault and domestic violence must be ended. There are many other local resource programs available, and we believe adding firearms protection to women’s options is critically important. We invite people from other areas of expertise to be part of our #NotMeRC movement and together we will create empowering initiatives for women to not be victims.
Join us as we launch the program and provide all the details on how to get involved and join the program and make sure to share with anyone you know who would be interested – Thursday, April 1 2021 at 7pm
Participation in the program is FREE. Spaces are limited! Please register here: https://tinyurl.com/NotMeRClaunch
Your Activist Update!
Due to production issues, the activist update mentions Orange County Gun Owners’s online auction and the gun show. Both events have passed and were a lot of fun! The rest of the video is good to go though. Click on the graphic above to watch!
Get involved in 2A activism!
One way to directly get involved in 2A activism is to volunteer at one of our Table Top events. We are in need of more volunteers for upcoming events throughout Riverside County.
Help us talk to your fellow Riverside county residents about the importance of them becoming members of RCGO and how we are the ONLY local 2A political action committee dedicated to fighting to preserve our precious 2A rights.
And don’t forget, every shift you volunteer for equals one entry into our quarterly drawing to win an amazing Front Sight Commander LIFETIME Membership, valued at $25k!
Check out upcoming dates and locations and sign up HERE

Vote for Carl for CLPOA
RCGO member Carl Gardner is running for one of three available positions on the Canyon Lake Property Owner’s Association Board. There are a total of 5 seats. One of the current incumbents who is up for re-election (Chris Poland) is very much an Anti-2A supporter and makes no secret of it. Ballots will begin mailing on April 12th and elections culminate at the annual meeting of the association on May 13th. Ballots can be returned anytime after receiving them, but if returning by mail must be done by May 7th.
If you are a Canyon Lake resident, make sure to lend Carl your support and give him your vote!
Gun Owners Radio
On this week’s episode of Gun Owners Radio Amy Reichert, co-founder of ReOpen San Diego and the Freedom Market, Leila Aziz talks about AB 1509 (the Anti-Racism Sentencing Reform Act) and how gun laws intersect with institutional racism, and more!
New on the Blog: Gun Laws: The Institutional Racism You’ve Heard About
One of the many new changes that the year 2020 brought was the mainstream use of the term “Institutional Racism”. The phrase is heated, controversial, and its acceptance is a partisan divide (like everything else these days). It is the burden of each reader to decide if institutional racism exists….
#WhatTheGun
#WhatTheGun Resource is now live and up on our website!
So what exactly is #whatthegun? It’s RCGO’s ongoing project to connect new firearms owners/shooters to the appropriate training they need (and deserve!) to be safe, responsible gun owners. We will continue to add and update this information so make sure to check back frequently. If you or anyone you know needs access to basic gun safety and handling training, please forward and share this link with them: #WHATTHEGUN
If you are a trainer and provide these services, please contact us at info@riversidecountygunowners.com to get your company on the list!
